What the Sputnik Sensor Is

The Bio-Well device measures people — it captures the energy field from your fingertips. The Sputnik sensor extends Bio-Well's measurement capability to spaces. It's an antenna attachment that connects to the Bio-Well camera and continuously monitors the electromagnetic and electrostatic properties of the surrounding environment.

In Plain Language

Sputnik is a specialized antenna that turns your Bio-Well into an environmental monitor. Place it in any room, and it continuously tracks changes in the electromagnetic and electrostatic properties of that space — producing time-series graphs that show how the environment shifts over minutes, hours, or days.

Named after the Russian word for "companion" (and the famous satellite), Sputnik can be used indoors or outdoors, with no time limitations on measurement. It's used by practitioners, researchers, and anyone curious about how different environments might differ in their measurable electromagnetic properties.

How It Technically Works

Understanding what the Sputnik actually measures requires looking at the physics of its design:

1

Physical Connection

The Sputnik sensor connects to a titanium cylinder that is inserted into the Bio-Well camera lens. This creates a series of resonance contours — electrical circuits with specific resonant frequencies.

2

Capacitance Measurement

The bias current in the electrical chain depends on the capacitance (charge-to-potential ratio) between the Sputnik antenna and surrounding grounded/electro-conductive objects. Changes in this capacitance indicate changes in the room's electromagnetic environment.

3

Continuous Recording

The Bio-Well software records these capacitance readings continuously over time, producing time-series graphs showing how the environmental parameters shift. All data is saved for later analysis and comparison.

What influences the readings:

According to the manufacturer's documentation, the Sputnik readings are influenced by both geophysical parameters (naturally occurring electromagnetic conditions of the environment) and man-made electromagnetic fields (electronic devices, wiring, construction materials). Additionally, the presence of people in the room can influence readings — the manufacturer explains this as follows: emotions affect the autonomic nervous system, which changes perspiration and body conductivity, which in turn can change the conductivity of the surrounding space.

4

What It Measures vs. How It's Interpreted

This is an important distinction to understand about the Sputnik sensor:

What it physically measures

Sputnik detects changes in the electrical capacitance of the space between its antenna and surrounding conductive objects. This is a real, physical measurement — capacitance changes reflect actual shifts in the electromagnetic properties of the environment.

Factors that genuinely affect this reading include: ambient electromagnetic fields, grounded objects, building materials, electronic devices, temperature changes, humidity, and the presence of conductive objects (including human bodies) in the sensor's proximity.

How it's interpreted

The Bio-Well software presents these capacitance readings as "environmental energy parameters" and uses them to compute metrics like "metabolic influence" — how a specific environment might affect human energy based on the measured electromagnetic conditions.

This interpretive layer — translating electromagnetic readings into wellness implications — involves theoretical assumptions that go beyond the raw physics measurement. Practitioners find the interpretations useful in their work, but this aspect has less published validation than the core Bio-Well human scanning technology.

The honest takeaway: Sputnik measures real electromagnetic properties of spaces. That much is physics. The interpretation of what those readings mean for human health and wellness — while often compelling to practitioners who use it — requires a degree of inference that extends beyond the raw measurement data. We encourage users to explore the data with curiosity while maintaining appropriate scientific perspective.
